Hi I'm new to eBay (well the account anyway) and I'm trying to figure out the selling limit? Mine starts at ten but how do you get it to raise to 100 after the 90 days? If you have to call ebay please note I'm using my grandads name etc who is 78 years old! What should I do if they ask? I have his permission but doesn't he have to talk? also how do you raise the items to over 100 a month and how high exactly is this next limit? Thanks :)

Try getting cheap items that will sale fast and ship free.

Be sure to give them what they pay for so that you get positive feedback. With
more positive feedback will come more trust and limit may get raised sooner.

^^Its illegal to use your grandpas name and a bad idea...dont drag him into what you're doing....get your own ebay account.

I dont understand why you cant get your own?

Why are you using your Grandads name? Can't you use your own? If there is this need to call eBay, have him do it. You have his permission, don't you?
Do you already have an account that ended up getting bad ratings, so you needed a new account? eBay allows you to set up more than 1 account.
It's stated in eBay how to increase the limit. Basically just get good reviews & pay on time.
What's really going on here?

How is it illegal? With their permission it's fine isn't it? Where does it say its illegal?
and does anyone from experience know if you have to phone ebay to get your account limit lifted? :)

To increase your limit to 100 item and $5K you need to confirm the account holder personal information base on the public record. Since this is your grandy info and you should know all the answer. There are 4-5 questions.

On your seller dashboard, click on "request higher selling limit" or something like that. You don't need to call in for this

What do you mean how is it illegal? Using someone else's information is illegal and against the ebay TOS.

You havnt answered the multiple people that asked "WHY" cant you use your own name or information.

Having an ebay account when you are not qualified/old enough is against ebay's TOS....if you are doing this because you are not old enough, you shouldn't be on ebay, sorry. No one wants to buy crap from a teenager...I don't....No one else does...Teenagers are full of shit 99% of the time and I would hate to know that what I'm buying is coming from some snot nose 15 year old.

If you are of age, let us know the reason why you need to use your grandpas information and we can provide you a more accurate answer of how to achieve what you're trying to do.

We want to help you...but a reason is needed, because what you are doing IS NOT normal and a little "fishy".

If you are not using your real name, you might have problems verifying and your limits will never go up.

Max out your limits every month / review cycle. Ebay will not see a reason to raise your limits if you are selling below your allowance. Establish a good track record and your limits will go up in time. Takes time and is a PITA but patience works wonders with ebay

Instead of using your Grandpas eBay account you could just use a stealth account if you are under 18. Much safer since you
do not have to worry about him talking on the phone with them ect
