Ender's Game, just before the movie came out.
I have this thing where I like to read books before the movie comes out, just to have a fresh memory of what I imagined it'd be like compared to Hollywood.
Did the same with The Great Gatsby a few months back. It's a brilliant feeling in my opinion. (Even tho sometimes it's not fun, like with The Hobbit where so much was portrait differently/added or removed all together)

I should read the Great Gatsby everyon who red it told me it's 100x better than the movie. THe hobbit is a classic for me my dad is a SF and Fantasy fan I have read all of the Tolkien Asimov Lovecraft etc...

Right at this moment I am reading Ca$hvertising by Drew Eric Whitman

Although I like reading fiction I don't have time, I can't justify it to myself, so I tend to be constantly reading Business, Management or Self Improvement Books.

Just finishing Women by Bukowski and I am in the middle of Kafka's Metamorphosis.
In my Christmas basket are so far Restart, Rework and Remote by guys from 37signals.

If I could fit my computer in there I could be so much more productive.

The Salzburg connection is again a nice book

My favorite is American Gods...i heard they will make a movie too but it won't be able to cover all the details in the book that makes it so awesome.

Another of my favorite is If Tomorrow Comes

Also Ken Folett's Pillars of the Earth and At the World's End

I loved all the books i've read and there were like 100's (just to make jail time pass faster)

I am a little ashamed to say I have only just started reading the games of thrones books. I have already watched the first 2 seasons of the show but I want to hold off and read the books.

I seem to run into this argument all the time. Any book turned movie/TV is never as good as reading the book, however more often than not those who watch the movie/tv first consider those better. So far I have to say I am liking the books and while the TV series has different characterization at times I still think it is one of the best shows.

Other than that I really want to read the four hour work week and I never did manage to finish the fast lane, I stopped because most of it was just metaphors repeating the same thing
