I have ideas, but where to propose?

So I have a few products that I personally believe would sell really good, I just don't know who to bring the idea to.


Is there anything specific I should already know before going to the company? Such as specific information, or a blueprint drawn out of the product?

No, like its an upgrade of a current commonly used product, and its something that a lot of people actually wish was on it. Also the product would be easier to setup for use.

Before you take it anywhere, I'd tie up the IP. File a provisional utility patent, if it's just a new way of using something that exists. The currently 'commonly used product' - is it a patented product, or an old product already?

BTW it costs very little to file for a provisional patent, we're talking hundreds rather than thousands.
