Unless you know you have a need for the tools and know how to use them dont purchase anything.
I made the same mistake when i had some cash to invest and bought a few SEO tools. Its a waste of money because i dont even use them.

Why? You're assuming he's an idiot? From all evidence it looks like he might actually be employed to do SEO. His employer has enough faith in him to give him $2500. If the best he can do with it is give the money to someone else, maybe his boss will figure out he isn't necessary?

I'd recommend you do it all your own, but read a lot to make sure you don't accidentally over-optimize your website. Vary your anchor texts so you're not getting more than 20% exact matches. Buy one tool at a time, learn to use it well before you buy the next one ... sitting on a stack of unused tools isn't good.

senuke is pretty much dead now. no news in the snuke blog since 3+ months either. their forum got some guard dog who yells at every complaint and never helps anyone. social networks dont get updated anymore. pretty much crap sites now in senuke. (unless they have started working on it again because i didnt use it for ~ 3 months now)

threadstarter could obviously still try it out on an VPS for like 20-30 / month or even try the trial at senuke.com which is free for a week i believe.

but, if threadstarter wants to promote only one site, i would also suggest to just pay some people to write some good! articles, create some videos and other content for the social networks... Well i would spend like $50 and pocket the other $2450 haha.

I would buy the tools depending on two things;
-How i know they work
-their purpose. Do you want to use them for tier 1,2,3..or?

But don't buy a tool that you don't know how to use or because someone tells you it is good. Senuke has a trial version. You can check it out and be sure if it really is the right one for your work.

Dont buy a hammer because you heard someone say it is used o chop wood. It might not chop the wood.
