My plan for the next six months (suggestions welcome!)

Hey there, you might recognize me as that new guy who keeps asking things on this forum. Well you are right that is me. Now back with a summary of things that I have learned, also thanks to you guys, but with a request for additional input. Allow me to paint you a picture of the situation. I am a international student with a ton of free time, who wanted to build a small website for something I enjoyed. I got a little carried away and now I am hoping to build an authority website. The website has been up for two days and I have no prior experience in the 'website business'. Nonetheless here is my plan.

• Use Onpage seo in almost every article/page (mostly guided by Yoast WP plug in)
• Create relevant videos and infographics
• Create a Facebook Page, Pinterest, Stumbleupon, Youtube Channel, Tumblr, and upload relevant content on there. In a non-spammy way link back to the website (Relevant articles, videos, and infographics)
• Write a minimum of 1 Article per week for six months
• Invite guestbloggers, and guestblog myself
• Ask websites like ***** and Reddit to add me to "usefull links" in the proper "subsections"
• Once I have ~20ish Articles start asking for backlinks from authorative pages found through google or by running opensiteexplorer on the competition. (I will do webrelated favors for these pages, like supplying information, and help with for example wikipages)
• Create more static pages with in-depth info (I have 10 static pages now)
• When traffic reaches a certain undecided-upon point I will create a forum
• I am already adsense aproved, and Amazon affiliate aproved. I will use the amazon affiliate to create widgets that advertise items that are very relevant to my micro niche

Things that I am undecided upon:

• Directories; websites, articles, infographics, etc
• Allow user created content (e.g., blogs) like some big sites do

The idea is that in 6 Months there will be a new project released in my micro niche that I want to capitalize on.

This is more of a review my plan thread, I only seriously started reading up on this stuff a few weeks ago, and I want to make sure I am doing things right before I spent a lot of time and energy. I don't care if its not profitable, but I just like to know that I am on the right path

Just get started.
It looks OK but if you fail, don't worry just start again.
The sooner you start trying to rank a site the sooner you will actually rank one.
