Strange facebook login problem

Hello,

Not sure whether anyone can help on this one. Try googling solution but no luck.

I try to login to a facebook account with valid email + password. After clicking login button, the password field is cleared but nothing happens. Not logging in but no error message either. I try on different computer/phone. None of them works for this account.

I try a different account on this computer and no problem logging in so it doesn't seem like a computer problem.

If I purposely entered a wrong password, I will get a wrong password message from facebook.

I also did try to reset the password, facebook allows me to reset so I know the account is not banned or disabled. When I try to logon, same thing. Password field gets cleared and no message.

Any idea?

Try to view the profile you are having issues with with another profile. It might have been deleted

It is a legit account. The account is still there. Everything can be viewed from another profile. Even able to reset password for the new account. Just strange things happen when login. If the account is deleted or banned, it will show some message. Looks like a facebook bug or server authentication problem from what I googled.

try incognito mode in your browser. could be a cacheing issue

No luck. Did try cleaning up caches, start in incognito mode, different browser, etc. Just this account. Other account is fine.

After typing in email and password and click login button. The password field is cleared. No other message.

I also tried on m.facebook.com. The result is slightly different. The password did clear after clicking login button but it also display a message on the top saying "You must log in first". Looks like an facebook authentication problem to me.
