The problem I have is that sometimes the stupid (aka "morons", or "retards") really ARE stupid. It's not a comparison, say for example one peer is calling another peer "stupid" as a metaphor (where saying that they are "like a stupid person" would be a simile", in many cases it's a DIAGNOSIS, no different than if they were told they had chlamydia, scabies or cranial rectosis.
I think it's wrong to always assume that if a word is used to described another Member could be considered "insulting", then that is the ONLY interpretation. I think some consideration should be given to the possibility that it's TRUE, in which case calling someone stupid is simply a matter of stating a fact. The sky is blue, snow is white, and SweTech is stupid. Truth is an absolute defense against slander. And instead of punishing those smart and brave enough to make a diagnosis by giving them an infraction, Forum Staff should instead REWARD those that have what it takes to make the call. Say for example a little 2 on 1 action with a couple of those sweet young girls at WowPorn.
Beyond that, there is a 128 Crayola Crayon Box just chock-full of all the various colors of stupid, and modifiers for those variations, such as "stupid dumbass", and "fucking retard" and the more intensely felt statement "stupid fucking retard" which not only establishes the extremely low level of the diagnosed person's intelligence ("stupid retard" vs a person that only has an average level of retardation), but the intensifier "fucking" describes how passionately committed the person making the diagnosis is.
Would you have Forum Staff interfere with BHW Members abilities to diagnose gonorrhea? Lives are at stake here, people. We need to be able to speak freely about the contagious diseases that afflict our society. Would you support a law that prohibits calling someone a "leper"? What if it was your fingers & toes that were in danger of falling off? Wouldn't you want to know who the leber was?
It's a community health issue. Stupidity is contagious, and it is transmitted electronically by 1's and 0's on the internet. One infected stupid person can infect an entire forum of people, bringing all of them down to their low level, and then the next thing you know THEY ARE IN CHARGE of the place. One need only look at the Federal Government to see the natural end-result of the Stupidity Acceptance Movement. The fate of all humanity is at stake here, people. For the love of God, please do something, before it's TOO LATE. The stupid are breeding at an exponential rate, and food stamp cards can only be manufactured so fast.
