Started blog two months ago. Where do I go from here?

Hi guys! I've made a sort of travel/french learning blog two months ago. I've made some posts, played with the layout, made a logo, etc.

I'm a full time student so I only do this on the side. I do want to monetize my website some time in the future, but the blog isn't big at the moment. Right now I'm trying to post at least once a week. I only recently started keyword research to rank better but I'm still working on it. After each post, I usually submit it to digg, stumbleupon, etc. Where should I go from here? If you have any useful links that could possibly help me out, posting it would be great! Thanks!

To start, if you're looking to grow your blog with daily visitors you need to do much more than 1 post per week or else there's no new content/information for users to keep coming back. It would be my suggestion that new posts be made on a daily basis and instead of just sharing the posts yourself, add social share options to each post so that any users that do visit your site can share your post(s) as well. For monetization, I would start with AdSense to see how it performs and if you're not making much than explore other avenues that will allow you to make money from your traffic. I know of one particular to portuguese & brazil that might give you ideas.

Check out braziliangringo, just google it I guess.

He has a bunch of stuff going on, youtube videos, blog posts, a podcast started up. I have talked to him and I believe it's become monetized as he lives and updates his site regularly!

Thanks. I guess that makes sense. I find it a bit difficult to make "quality content" on a daily basis but I guess that's the work you gotta put in to actually succeed. Oh yeah, I can't believe I forgot about Facebook! Though, should I make one now or wait until I get more traffic?

It may be difficult but it's what it takes to make a blog successful. If you don't have the time to add content daily you could always do some searching around the BST and find some cheap content/article providers that could write articles for you on a daily basis.

Not many. I get around 30-50 every day.

Right now it's a pretty simple blog. I only have 7 posts. Now that I think about it, it really isn't much. I guess I should just focus on driving content. I think I'll stick with that for now.

see the first thing u need to do is understand what u building and yes u need to post everyday ,u also need to start using social media so it will help with seo and social media traffic it really not that hard to get enough traffic to make money from your blog but u must work at it send me a link to your site and I will look over it for u

He should be posting seven times per week (One post per day). This is a blog and not just a site so keeping fresh and updated content is important if you want your visitors to continue returning.

Actually, I don't have enough posts to pm yet. Just search in Google: "lostinfrench anthony". It's the first link. As for social media, I'll start with a Facebook page. I think I'll make a Twitter just for the site, and keep it separate from my personal one.

Hey, why not try reddit, it's hot now. I usually can get 10 to 100 visits from reddit per day

Yeah reddit helps a lot. Same with stumbeupon, but not as much. As for my progress: I made a Facebook page, Twitter account and a Google+ thing for the website. It's hard building those up but it's just the beginning! Any suggestions for speeding up the social media game?
