I have a computer with windows 7 ultimate with 4gb ram 3.10ghz processor and 500gb hardisk.
I want to know if i let me computer on for a month then how much will be electricty cost.
It is advisable to buy vps or running my computer.
I want to run imacros addmefast bot on it.
Also i give rest of 1 hour to my computer every after 10 hours.i switch off my lcd screen when i run bot
Is there a way so that i can run my computer continuously for days without switching off.
Thanks a lot.

Uhh? Not the one that shows your total power to your apartment.

Check the power supply on the computer - that's the device in your computer where plug the power cable in. It should have a sticker stating its power. Should be in watts, not kilowatts.

how to check power supply.
I am a noob at this.

okkk got it i have 2 meters 1Kw and 3Kw

He's asking about your PC power supply unit. Check the back of your pc, where you insert the power cord, it should be between 500-800 watts or so.

That configuration should use around 600w. If your electricity costs $0.10 per kwh daily cost is $1.44, and monthly cost is $44

Power supplies don't really consume their maximum wattage all the time. Checking with a psu calculator would be more accurate. Just google "power supply calculator".

i have checked but did not find it .
Can you please help me my pc specifications are
intel (r) core(tm) i3 2100Cpu @3.10ghz
4gb ram (3.42 usable),500gb hdd
monitor 21 inch flatron e2041 LG

About 115kWh in a month (22 hours each day, since you said that you turn it off every 10 hours) for the whole pc. I didn't count in the monitor, since you said that you turn it off. Now just multiply it with the price you are paying for a kWh.

Hi Saura, which those specifications, the WATTAGE required for the specs you mentioned should be very small. Your PC electricity cost per month should be a MAX of $40. I say on average it could be around $20-25. Hope that helps!

Best Regards,

first of all thank u so muchh for helping me.
i checked my electricity bill and there is no kwh written on it.
Only written 136 units and bill is of 600Rs INR (around 10$)

do both. I run local pc's as vps, and they handle large files video/image conversions etc. This way you don't chew through bandwidth moving files back and forward over the net. Then for bot and seo tasks, always use an online vps.

thanks alot
40$ max.do you included lcd in it ?

1 Unit = 1kwh. 600/136 = 4,41Rs INR/kWh. 4,41 x 115 = 507Rs INR in one month without the monitor. This, of course, is not precise, because your computer is consuming more electricity when it's doing intensive work, and less when it's idling.
