The "thanks rating" glitch?

So can someone please explain what the first thanks number means
The whole XXX is thanked 5 times in 3 posts make sense, but what about the other number?

And what about this guy? Clearly a glitch of some sort right?
I saw this in the social networking forum under the thread titled "Tagged Bot", can't remember his username now though.

its a vb database integer problem, or something, think it was discussed before.

It's a glitch. I think it happens when you have thanked one post and then that post gets deleted it goes to the highest number possible which is that.
