PR as we know it WILL be ditched. The patent expires in 2015, at which point it will become public knowledge. They've likely already migrated to some other metrics to replace it, which they use internally.

When their patent expires, will everyone be able to make search engines based on PR? Aren't MSFT or Yahoo doing anything like it yet?
