Google SERP Hummingbird vs Penguin 2.1 comparison

iglow - one of my favorite OG blackhat friends. Good to see your still analyzing blackhat ranks.

Good stuff here.. just goes to show google still doesn't have control.. :)

great share! Thanks for your research! As a side note though, I'd still not rely heavily on EMDs

if u compare to 'cheap viagra' iglow shared its still more :) but yes it is not pure EMDs, theres parasites and hacked ones too. love checking such stats!

could you explain in a bit more depth how this is laid out? or am I being stupid here?

Okay let me clear one things to those people who think EMD don't work good now. Basically EMD update was for low quality emd's. So if you still have some high quality emd's you can rank on the top of google easily.

Loving the amount of people sharing split test info right now. Lets take a look. :)

Sweet..thank man. I never left the emd's despite people saying 'go for a brand' and I see the same thing you're seeing across many clients. For instance, even if their restaurant is Mimi's Seafood, and they take mimisseafood .co .uk, when I search 'seafood restaurant london', their site, plus many others with 'seafood' in the url, ranks.

Could be a coincidence, but I see it all around the world with different clients in completely different niches. That said, all the expired emd's that I want are going for a pretty penny nowadays...probably for good reason, especially now that those who were hit by 2.1 are looking for new domains to piggy-back upon.

Perhaps this is the most important piece in answering the 'how do i recover' question that keeps popping up?

Nice research mate, igloo is well known to me from wickedfire. Good to see your shares here.

Quality emd's are still working fine and ranking. Infact in some niches, i have seen sites ranking with backlinks of old age anchors too. Google is keeping hard for only well known niches. Many niches are still not touched by google.

Let me also throw this up here...I just reformatted it with the function that marks every url containing the word 'tramadol' in it with green...you can see the result for yourself here:

theres sitll loads of EMDs ranking in many niches, of course not just them but its not like having keyword in domain hurts as muc has people think

Great analysis there bro. There will always be ways to beat Google, you just have to be a little innovative nowadays.

Thanks for the share iglow!

My own research is showing the same, EMD's still going strong.

added new post to the site with credit report and raspberry keton keywords

Gullsin, what do you mean by HQ EMDs as opposed to LQ EMDs? Like with pluralizations of the KW and such? Would those be LQ?

HQ is exact at .com, LQ is hyphens, .infos or ones with extra crappy stuff added
