Okay. I know that PR is not what it used to be, but it has some impact on SEO and how often to crawl those websites.

Furthermore, I came across those websites

tokinet.org
universitas21.com
mylatestgadgets.com
go********.com

mostly are new websites with no traffic.

All I can think is google manually added the PR.

What are thoughts guys ?

That is crazy, I have only seen a few sites ever with pr 10. Yeah, it must be fake, but I thought its harder to fake now?

There are only about 12 domains on the entire web with PR10 and about 148 domains with PR9. The sites you listed are all fake PRs.

hm, so i suppose all the PR tools I have checked they just show you the fake PR ? can u give me a tool to test those websites?

How popular is tokinet.org? from Alexa: Global Rank

And it is from India. There, you have your answer. It don't mean a thing... just not to worry misser from white Internet. It will not affect you.

Tools can't detect all types of fake page ranks (there are different techniques to faking it).

However, you can use this tool to do a basic check for fake PR: http://smallseotools.com/google-pagerank-checker/

In the end, the only way to really know is to check out the backlinks yourself and determine if the links going into the domain is strong enough to support the PR that it has. Even this is not 100% as a lot of people can block their inbound links (if they own them) using .htaccess to ward of 3rd party link checking bots.

PR is a pretty obsolete way of determining a sites strength these days. I recommend learning new ways to look at link profiles and domain strength.

What I just said, with fewer words. Look at the Alexa Rankings.

I have never trusted PR. Well, actually I did before 2-3 years but not now.
Rankings are determined by how authority your website/domain is, plus a bunch of other activities.

I was just giving OP a more general strategy for determining fake page rank that he can use in the future. It was not a reply to your post. Alexa rankings can be easily faked and would be hard to use to determine the authenticity of lower PR domains.

Who told you that, google have a lot more things to do rather than adding PR manually and they are all fake PR 10 sites Read the forum and you will know how they are faking it

its definitely fake PR..there are some seo tools available online to verify the real pagerank...only the big fish really lie in the PR10 category, for everyone else it's like an impossible dream...:D

No referring domains
no quality backlinks
no majestic trus flow links
no domain authority

All google PR tools sayings its real PR ... but its confirmed its fake, they are making fool to people by using some PR techniques. There is sure some blackhats :D

Wow, didn't know they've figured out a way to fake a site's page ranking now.
