Constructive criticism? + Get your own logo

Hey, everyone

I made this logo for a company named "Purple Tech", and was wondering if any of you could give me any feedback? I have been doing Photoshop for a while, but I just recently started designing logos. What do you think? Are there some things that could make it look better? Constructive criticism, please!

Simple is usually the best i would love to do more logos but my time is currently organized stupidly and i need to do tedious little tasks before i can relax and sink in graphical design.

Did you created your logo with Photoshop??? If yes, I advice you to move to Illustrator, Logos this days are created in VECTOR format so they can be re-sized infinitely without loosing their quality...

Its good. But as you said, Constructive criticism: Can be a little boring? Maybe not creative enough? But it looks 'strong' which is nice. Is this the first logo you have designed for this business? I'd design like 5 or 6 and chose the best of those

If you are good with Photoshop, you will learn Illustrator very fast
Beside this you have tons of tutorials on Youtube too
As for the logos, remember just one thing: KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid
Logos always should be Simple and Memorable

Where does the wording go? For an icon i like it but how you use the words will either set it off or not. I always like to see 4 concepts. But good work for first time, much better than the norm.

I like to think of it as simple instead of boring, but I guess you have a point. And yes, it's the first one for this company. I'll make 2 or 3 more, and see if they turn out even better, thanks again for the great tip

Well, I originally made it with the text "Purpletech", but it's just some glossy text underneath the logo itself, so I didn't include it now, since it was nothing special. I wanted the focus to be on the logo itself And thank you very much for the feedback, man.
