Website #1 (Affiliate Marketing)​

Currently this website only has a 600 word article with 2 outbound links (between the last few paragraphs) in the article. The first link is a download for a PDF document with my affiliate link for a relevant product. The second, I directly posted my affiliate link.

• I submitted that PDF to several different pdf archives.
• I submitted my ?landing page? to several free link directories
• I submitted my landing page article to several article directories
• Currently Receives 34 Uniques a month

Obviously what I have right now is complete utter crap and wouldn?t convert shit. The above was a result from jumping into IM face first, still don't know what I'm doing.

Plan of Attack (Website #1)​

1. Rework the landing page into a real landing page, not just an article with links

2. Implement a marketing funnel

• External Traffic Source
• Internal Article
• Landing page
• Call to action
• Lead Form
• Sales Page
• Conversion

3. Start an Opt-In Campaign

4. Heavily Research Relevant Keywords ( Again :l )

1. Minimum 100 Long Tail Keywords with minimum competition
2. Refine my Keyword Research into a process

5. Drive Traffic

1. Slam the website with high quality links
   1. Contact all websites on the first, maybe second page for each keyword
   2. Submit site to article directories
   3. Comment Market
   4. Article Market
2. Crank out halfway decent content to beef up the site
   1. Relevant to each keyword
   2. SEO optimized
   3. All pointing towards the landing page

As soon as this article is posted I will be saving it, printing it and researching, planning every step.

Target Date: January 1st 2014.

Day 2 out of 72

The Landing Page
​

Today was a struggle to even start creating the landing page. There are so many materials and links for 10 tips. Decided I'll just create it and improve it as I go. I also decided to take the sales process in my own hands (Copied and saved the URL to link directly to Clickbank Checkout). I'll be able to sleep at night knowing the whole sales process is under my control. I accomplished very little today because it is extremely easy to get lost in guides and random how to's. The measly list is as follows...

• Two well thought out paragraphs, that will hopefully interest my targeted audience
• Chopped up a video ripped from my product authors site and posted it below the two paragraphs. (Thought it was too lengthy, too much filler)
• Used the "Landing Page" Plugin for Wordpress

Allows the user to create different landing pages, split test them, and tracks visits / conversions.


I work Tuesday through Wednesday, 7AM-7PM. So I will be cramming in as much work as possible for the time that I have. I will post an update on Friday.
