Hey everyone,

Just looking for a little push in the right direction really.

I've set up a new site that displays WordPress themes automatically pulled from ThemeForest (affiliate link).

I'm also starting to post round ups and general articles.

It's not bad in regards to the back end SEO (clean markup, spun text, relevant headings etc).

I'm just looking for any advice for link building in this niche, any thoughts would be great.

Thanks!

One good way to build links to your site is to create web2.0's and social network links to your domain. You could also try reaching out to other WordPress theme websites for links.

Thanks bigkapp, appreciate it. I hadn't actually thought about a link exchange lol

Have you tried guest posting? Not sure if it will work on your niche tho.

Join relevant forums and share your thoughts and views. Use your website in signature posting. This is a good seo tech and you will get a lot of traffic too. Do niche blog commenting too.

First thing you should do is fix the whois registration data for that domain or it'll be seized by the registrar anytime. You used obviously fake data....at least try to make it look real....

Acquire high quality backlinks by putting high quality content to your site (if your content are not of good quality, the social media won't care about what you're doing) and diversify your link building by building links from various types of high authority websites- video, document sharing, blog posts, HPBL, press release, etc. Build links slowly and continue building links to keep link velocity.

I totally agree you can try gues blogging. Try to find some websites related to your site such web design, blogging, web development. I guess blog commenting and forum posting will work for you too. If you need some help with sites for guest blogging, I have some for you. I hope it will help you.

I know this is in the "white hat" section, but you could have a "free themes" section, where you give away themes and add your link to the footer of the theme "courtesy of wpthemeshq.com".

Make sure you use naked urls or brand and not anchor text though, the sitewide nature makes it risky to over optimize.

Your link profile should look natural so just find sites (blogs, forums, videos) based on keyword in Google and comment on those sites which allow, this is the best link building technique seeing demand of today.

Mimic your main, successful competitors - you can't go wrong then. If they seem to rely on web 2.0s, you know what you have to do. If they've got guest posts all over the place, contact those sites.

Not a bad idea at all. Thanks
