No, I would not recommend your suggestion.

What if you after a year you need to transfer to another host? or not happy to your current hosting provider?

Some hosting provider uses their domain to hostage them and to not leave on their hosting services.

I suggest namecheap or godaddy to your domains and look for a reliable hosting.

Actually, Godaddy is offering free domains:

I mean it is obvious from your screen name and signature what your intention is...but don't give out incorrect information. As you can see in the image above that I just took, Godaddy is giving free domains with hosting packages.
