They do the job, but when you are looking to sell a domain name to an end user the price changes depending on how much they want the domain. I'd recommend reading the domain blogs and domainsherpa.com if you are looking to get into this field. Best.

Most automatic appraisals are complete shit. GoDaddy automatic appraisals aren't worth anything, at least not to anyone with some experience. Also those estibots and whatever, they don't mean anything, it's just an automated valuation system designed to attract you to their site for traffic. Titles like "example.com is worth $1 million" are designed to lure you into their site.

Just me, I don't think it is worth more than normal reg fees. The idea, content behind a website is more important.

these domains are worthless, if i were you i would let them expire, they are not worth renewing. There is always a (very remote)chance of someone who actually like the name or ownes a business with the same name and just woke up after 15 years of beauty sleep and thought to himself "hmmm i think i need a website for my business". Other than that don't wait by your phone cuz most likely no one will be calling.

As to the domain eval you mentioned. I personally don't like eval services that use automated tools to evaluate your domain. In most case, even a manual eval is based on a bunch of BS someone decided is important.

KW in your URL were and will always be important. The shorter your URL is the better. so "domainnames . com may be worth 5 mil to the right buyer (I am sure GoDaddy will be interested), while buydomainnamesforless .com may sound catchy but will probably never sell and in the remote chance it will it may bring $$$ to the same idiot who just woke up and have no idea what he is buying or what he needs.

Nevertheless, I strongly suggest not to take me too seriously and to give these domain a try.
