Long Tail Keywords Pay Off

learn-about-long-tail-keyword-basics.jpg

Many writers compile great articles with primary keywords in text set to a correct density and in so doing the article gets the page indexed on the search engines?

But how many writers also include long tail keywords in articles?

I have one website and whenever I check the traffic stats there is always a swathe of long tail keywords that are listed in the keyword search stats?

Writers it pays to include both primary keywords and long tail keywords?

On articles of 500 words ? enter primary keyword 5 times and enter long tail keywords 2 times?

Why? Because you will be surprised how often the long tail keywords are picked up by the SE?s?

More viral searches ? means more traffic ? means more revenue?

5 seems like a bit too many to me. I generally go for 2-3, but I def agree with you about the long tail kws

On articles of 500 words - enter primary keyword 5 times and enter long tail keywords 2 times...

Which is primary keyword 5 times 1x = 100 words 1% density which I have found to work very well for many years...

Yes, indeed Long Tails Rule! Easy to rank, and if you target enough of them you can easily get more traffic than main keywords.

Yes thanks...

I have been a fan of long tail keywords for years ever since one of the first time I used I got 30,000 uniques and top ranking...

I thought this is OK, so I still do it now years later...

I never think about keywords when writing articles and in my webmaster tools accounts, I have arund 2000 + long tail keywords which brings in quality traffic each and every day. You can't predict what phrase users will use to search for content. Just keep the natural flow during writting and you will start seeing the benefits.
