finding items to list on ebay

Hi Guys

i need some advice

firstly im still new to ebay and calculating fees etc and im having trouble finding items to list in my store

i have found a few and listed them, i have made 70p (roughly 10 pence per item) thats after paying fees

i have been doing quite a bit of research but i cant seem to find what it is im looking for (maybe im not searching for the right thing)

i wanted to know where i can find items to list on ebay, i dont expect to be given a specific site but at least help so i can look in the right direction

i have found a few drop shipping services online but i dont know if its a scam or not

if anyone is able to give me some advice it would be appreciated

You can look into liquidation sites. I did that before and as long as you research on ebay by looking at completed listings and calculating fees, shipping, and what the selling price is on ebay as well as if it sells well then you can figure out what you can make for profits on the items. I would post the website that I used before but I'm not sure if that's allowed. Good luck!

If finding a product first and then seeing if the niche is profitable isn't working for you, reverse engineer.
Find a niche in which you think there's potential, then try to source the product. If you competitors can do it, so can you (with the right resources).

that makes the MOST sense, thank you very much

i was given advice by someone who told me i should look at the "best selling" offers on amazon etc and then try to compete but this hasnt worked out for me lol

i will be giving this a try

what do you think about drop shipping websites? are they safe to use?

Realize that these will be among the most competitive niches on whatever particular platform you're using.
If you want to go this route, perhaps try finding a 'best seller' on, for example, Amazon and analyze the competition on eBay. While they will often be fairly congruent, I'm sure there are some exceptions.

As with anything there is good and bad. I've been hooked up with a bad dropshipper or two, as well as a few good ones.
It's a mixed bag.
I used to try to stick with bigger companies, but I found that most of their products were saturated, so smaller services ended up working out better for me.
With their smaller size, however, comes a decreased amount of verifiable legitimacy.
Take the necessary steps to protect yourself. Having an LLC helps in a few ways. There are more steps you can take.

Also realize that you're exchanging convenience for profitability. If you're using a dropshipper, they're often getting the product for less than what they're giving it to you. That's if they don't manufacture the product, or aren't a liquidizer, etc...

What you should do to start is do some leg work and go to flea markets or any bargain shops and try to find profitable items to
flip on eBay. This will give your account credibility to continue onward into more risky items.

Try to purchase a few things locally that are available at a cheap price and then sell it on Ebay for a profit. First of all, you will have to do a lot of research on ebay to find about things that are sold for a high price as compared to those that are found locally.

try to search on alibaba and aliexpress - there are many cheap items and guys willing to start dropshipping with you.

Alibaba is not an easy thing to do for novices. MOQ's are mostly high and problems with communication are there as well. Aliexpress is a retail venue and hardly worth it for resellers.
Finding a good reliable source is the hardest part of any online /offline selling enterprise.

im in the same situation you are in. i am doing ebay dropshipping with amazon but it takes a few days for me to find a good money making product and then that product ends up being sold out of amazon with in a few days.
