GoDaddy Domain Auction is a “Rip Off” !

I have 22 Domain Names listed on the GoDaddy Auction & have learned these domains are each linked to a "generic" GoDaddy page that does nothing to specifically promote your domain, but instead promotes GoDaddy products & other competing domains
Doesn't it make sense that if you post a domain on the auction you deserve it being linked to a site that promotes & closes the deal for your domain as soon as possible? That is the way it used to be. Than you can buy another domain to sell & GoDaddy makes more money much sooner than the current program.
I wasted an hour w/ a GoDaddy rep over the phone last night concerning this. He researched & confirmed to me that all went to this page, even though they went to "individual" pages in the past that promoted the individual domain. According to him that feature/option is no longer available & all domains on auction go to this generic page.

Make your text color white or something, then only godaddy read your suggestion

Use namecheap.

Got lured in when they offered "more 4 less".
Actually I have made some healthy $$$ when GoDaddy gave the sellers domain proper exposure.

GoDaddy has been getting worse over the years. Have been dealing with them for hosting and domains for almost 14 years...all they try to do is sell your something every time you call in for help....

Have you used the GoDaddy Domain Auction? If so have you made any profit? $$$
I have domains up for renewal in just 1 day & would just like to break even b4 I pay another fee to GoDad.
Have been trying to find the best deal 4 a transfer to get rid of GoDad, but there have been hidden costs ~ no real deals. Any suggestions?
The sooner I get rid of these domains the better. I do not want to play this game anymore.

I just searched for the availability of a domain name on their Godforsaken site; it was available. Tried to purchase and the checkout failed at the end. Tried to repurchase and the $10 dollar domain price had suddenly jumped to $300 "Godaddy's Auction" price!

Ran a Domain Whois on another site shortly afterwards and Tucows/Godaddy had literally registered the name directly after I searched for it!!!!!

So irate at the moment.

I NEVER check good domain ideas at godaddy.

I run whois on my command terminal, if it's not there I'll go straight to namecheap and when I query it, I'm ready to buy. Don't trust any registrar, especially Godaddy, I donno why pros still use godaddy, personally I've had so many issues with them I can't even begin.

Yeah, I was uninformed but I've learned my lesson now. Terminal it is from now on and then namecheap.

Namecheap was loading slowly at the time and I got frustrated and jumped over to GoDaddy since the price was the same. Big mistake.
