[Noob] SEO Question

Hey guys, I'm a noob to SEO and basically know nothing about it. I know about PR1,2,3 sites, etc, and things like that, but I don't know how to rank my site properly. Should I go with one of the SEO packages here? Should I do it manually? What's the best way for me to go about ranking my site? Thanks.

Well it all depends on what you're trying to accomplish, and the amount of time and money you have to invest.

If you're looking to promote your own business and don't have much free time, I'd suggest going with a service.

If you're looking for opportunity to rank multiple sites, and have the time and money to learn and gain experience, go with do it yourself route. However, don't for one second thing it is easy or simple. There is no pay a monthly fee, press a couple buttons and rank away software. You're going to have to experiment, test, assess and alter your methods and techniques before you find something that works well.

Okay, thanks. I'm looking just to promote one site and I don't have much free time like you mentioned so I guess I'll go with a service. Are the services on BHW good or should I look somewhere else?
