Hit by Hummingbird HARD

cocococo,

I appreciate your comment, but saying "its awful" without providing data to help is just nonconstructive. If you want to bash someone, please provide CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, say why it is bad and what can be done to fix it. I would really appreciate that.

Anyone can just sit around and bash someone.

Apology for not providing enough data. I will provide as much as I can. My rule when it's comes to link profile/anchor text is never ever let your exact keywords ratio greater than your naked url,/brand link ratio etc

Example from your own site

tampa web design total links is 1221
your naked url links is 441
web design tampa is 493 and so on without giving too much info on public forum and = Don't get me wrong, if you study many sites anchor profile, you will see some sites still ranking with ratio like yours.

My rule of link profile should be as example

http://www.blackhatworld.com
http://www.blackhatworld.com/
www.blackhatworld.com
www.blackhatworld.com/
blackhatworld.com
blackhatworld.com/
blackhatworld
black hat world
visit blackhatworld
click blackhatworld

All this anchor text distribution should be atleast 80% of your link ratios, while the 20 percent can be distributed to your exact keywords.

Even doing this doesnt mean you will get through every updates, as getting wrong links could still put you back to square zero, atleast having a good profile like the one above is a good start

edgematch,

I would be 100% happy to pay whatever to an SEO expert who could help...the problem is finding out who is in the 10% and who is a scammer.

@newguy28, please spare some of your time. Talk to some reputed members (who is also making BST maybe), check his/her portfolio, and make a deal with him/her. Opening threads will not help you much. That was what I meant.

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/279728-cocococo.html,

I really appreciate that! A great start. Sometimes I wonder if it would be better to just start from stratch. I do have a site that I have done NOTHING to and it ranks for the same keywords on page 4. Which is weird because there is NO CONTENT.

http://goo.gl/Jz2gDS - ranks #43 for tampa web design and it is just a template i threw up years ago and did nothing with it. Someone explain that, lol

So, your link building strategy is hiring a guy called Muhhamad Yassir (I guess he's from here or Fiverr of some of the freelancing sites) to spam random sites (like this one about cycling http://www.bicycling.com/training-nutrition/training-fitness/hard-core-strength-workout or this one about NBA http://www.nbadraft.net/players/rudy-gobert ) and build links through comment spam.

And you call this quality? If I was Google I would bury you. Forever. Heck, if I was admin of this forum I would also bury you, you're annoying with your threads. You're even worse than me.

SkyrocketSEO,

Thanks for your input, but calling people "annoying"(and I apologize if i come off that way) is not constructive. I made some mistakes. I hired that guy here, asked for reviews and everyone said go for it. Maybe it was a mistake. But If you do not have anything constructive why just bash people? If anyone here needs help with software development, i would be more than happy to help, not just act arrogant and bash them without any quality input. That helps no one.

SkyrocketSEO,

Also, if you can help, I would be more than happy to pay for your services. But bashing someone is just not constructive.

IMO starting a new site without doing your home work will result to you being affected again. I would advise to hang around on the forum, and read about this new penguin update. Do some research and see if you can bring your old site back.

We are still analysing this updates to try and figure out what going on.

thanks so much, cocococo , for your constructive input. I really really appreciate it. If i seem annoying I am sorry, this is not my intent.

Thought I had SEO figured out, then all of a sudden its all a mystery again, lol. Well Back to square one.

what's the saying " you shouldn't put all your beans in one put (google)"

So you did well, you got hit and now you're crying because you hardly have any business left?

Your MAIN problem isn't getting hit by a Google update, it's not knowing how to bank on existing client relationships. If your whole business relied on getting traffic from Google, then you're shit out of luck. Had you been smart and put in place a referral system, create a mailing list of your clients and prospects, been pro-actively marketing to them and locally offline, then you'd never have been in the spot you're in right now. Moral of the story: unless you can afford to start over again every time Google makes you its bitch, BANK on client relationships as soon as you get some.

djhickory, we have existing client relations and do great work, google was a great way to get new leads with minimal work. Getting a lead outside of SEO, we all know, is either 1)Time consuming or 2) Costly. This is why SEO/internet marketing is absolutely the best form of marketing ever created. I think many of you will agree with this.

Referrals eventually dry up, no matter how much work and effort you put into it. We are trying to GROW not STAY AFLOAT(we can do that easily) and you simply need new leads to do that.

- No one can be worse than you-- you set the high standard that us mere mortals could never sarcastically achieve......

I will answer with a quote from my favorite Austrian philosopher, Arnold Schwarzenegger : "I'm the party pooper"

hahahah
Noone can be annoying as you sir, or at least that avatar!

Edit: lol I see it's not only me!

@newguy28

A couple of posts have already mentioned it and I think the idea is not bad.

1. Try and sort it out with your existing site and in the meantime create a spam infested churn and burn site (Maybe 3 or 4) so you can still make a living and pay whomever is helping you out.

2. The above plus create one more site with a good solid foundation.

Good luck!

I've read all the posts you've made on all the threads that you started and can say 2 things; take caution and go back to basics
