Video STUCK on Page 1.. Now what?

hey guys,

So I had a video ranked for a local term and its been on page 1 for a while. Only problem is that its stuck in the 7th and 8th spot.

I desperately want to move it up past the Google business listings but I'm getting no love.

I've sent bookmarks, wikis, comments and social signals. I was told by a good friend that I need vary the anchors.

Can you guys share your thoughts or service that help with this. If there's a thread you suggest I'll take a look for sure.

I was using indexification to index the links but its wasn't performing too well either.

Blast some backlinks to your video and make sure to send some high retention views combines with likes and comments also to make it look natural...
Beside this, just take a look to your competitors videos, see how many backlinks they have, how views, how many social signals, etc...
See what have they more then you to stay in the #1 position

Honestly..... im beating all of them in Youtube!!! No one is above me, Im just trying to beat the organic listing. When you say "blast", what kind of numbers we talking?

What you need to realize is that this may be as far up the rankings as your local video goes. Local search is dominated by local business listings on google maps for a reason.... that's what people are actually searching for. In this particular instance google (remarkably) got it right. Why do you think your video is more important than the maps and addresses of the business listings shown? I'm not being condescending, I just want you to look at it from why the results are what they are.

I recently had this conversation with a colleague, who for the life of it, couldn't figure out why his site was not moving above the local business listings/google maps results. He had spent $$$ on premium links and the freaking thing just would not move.... and this is exactly why. Not anchor variations, not more links, social signals, views, or any of the other ranking methodologies you probably already know of. Local search is and should be dominated by local listings.

Trying to get to the top for google you need backlinks. Try buying some backlinks that have high PR and you'll be able to rank the video higher.
