New google update? My site is dead!

I just check the hits for one of my sites and on October 3rd the traffic just drops right off!

I searched my niche on Google (where I was the top of the first page) and my site is no where to be found?

How the hell can I recover from this update or is my site useless now?

Any advice is welcome...

man up, create a new site mate, it takes you way more effort than creating a new site.

And it is uncertain that you will get recovered or not.

I'm rocking firefox. What lag are you referring too?

I don't really understand I wasn't using very aggrieve black hat SEO, Just a small bit of link building soon after the site launched.
Thats all, now my site is no where to be found!

OP, just consider that site lost. Churn and burned site.

You can always create and rank other sites

yea my site got hit too but it is still on first page but dropped from first to about 5th and 6th. Did a some quick whitehat manual linkbuilding and waiting for them to index.

It's penguin update again. Sad to hear this. Just continue what you have been doing to your site and see if it goes back to where it is. But if there are no results, let say for a week stop what you are doing and ask Google for reconsideration. And if you think that it won't be live again just let it go and create another one. Good luck!

I'm going to flip the site and run.
Hopefully make a nice profit and then create another one.

My niche is small, tiny in fact.

The only seo would I did was one fiverr gig it was 'Add your site to 1001 social bookmarks high quality backlinks + rss + ping'
Also used a wordpress seo plugin.

As the niche was so small I was ranked first page in a week.
Now they site is still listed but on page 5!
