Questions for a non-profit bilingual wp site

I need to build a site for a non-profit, the site need to be in french and english.

I'll need plugins or built-in functions for donation meters and all that's expected of an organization who will collect donations.

I want to use WPML to translate the site/plugins.

I had a look around and could not find any theme that are WPML "ready" that possess all the features needed, there's a bunch of themes built especially for these non-profit but none seem to be compatible with WPML.

I'm contemplating doing the install myself, I've built site before but I'd like to know how much work is involved with integrating WPML is an "uncertified" theme.

Any suggestions for plugins is also welcome.

If you are looking for premium themes that themeforest is the best place that I can think of. Also since you can contact the author directly there its one good thing where you can check with them to see if they can provide solutions with integration.

Themes does not need to exactly list in Theme Compatibility Section of WPML. As long as the theme is translatable and respect the WordPress multilingual standard, they're good to go with WPML.

WPML is the one that is well known for WordPress multilingual plugin, so you won't regret to use it. Their support is effective, too!
