Banned with the reason displayed in the user title

I just noticed that a user here was banned and the mod (I assume) added the reason to the custom user title. Regardless of the reason for the banning or what the user did I just wanted to say that I thought that adding the reason for all to see will serve a few purposes:

* It shows transparency on the part of the mod for the banning - increasing member confidence in the mods action; and
* It will serve as a reminder to others what you can get banned for - thus maybe curbing that irresponsible behavior.

That is possible. So there should be just a statement of what they did under there username, rather than such and such was being an ass hat (even if it is tempting)

In most cases, displaying why someone was banned as their user title is OK. However, sometimes, it's not always in the forum's best interest to display this information to the public. Sometimes we need to keep things confidential. If the ban reason isn't listed under someone's username, just PM one of us. If we feel the information should be released to the public, then we'll give you a specific reason.

This is listed in the forum rules, specifically rule #7.
