Ages ago, I found a great free simple tool to help re-write articles and PLR.
When you opened the program it had 2 windows, you loaded the article into the top window and re-wrote it in the bottom window.
Now of course I can't find it on my HD (it is there but I got a TB of unsorted stuff there) and I don't remember what it was called.

Does anybody know the tool I am talking about?

If not, then can you recommend the best tools for article re-writing?

Please don't suggest spinning tools, as I find what they produce to be pretty poor.
Also most of the time I find it would have been quicker to write the article from scratch.

Cheers

sorry if this sound stupid, but
Why won't you use two windows of notepad :)?

Chimprewriter is pretty good. It can be used for spinning, but there are a lot of options for rewriting. Read through the PDF manual to get a handle on all the features. There are options to re-write at the sentence and paragraph levels (panes at the bottom of the edit screen.)

Why don't you just open it up in word and just rearrange the windows? I use 2 screens and have one for the article I'm rewriting and the other for the one I'm typing. On win7 you can just drag one window to the right and the other to the left and they'll be exactly half the screen. You don't need software to do what you're trying to achieve!

Thank you for the input Guys, obviously I do actually realise this but as I stated I had found a tool that made it much easier.
What I was hoping for was the name of the tool or recommendations for tools that offered the same functionality.

so this tool rewrote the article for you? Or did you just have 2 windows in which to work and you had to manually rewrite the article?

If you have some time you can do that with html only , create a html form with two text area and install tinymice . It should be ready in 5 minutes . That's what I do .
you can also add some php/python to directly save the rewritten article.

No, just 2 windows, 1st had the article and 2nd was for manually rewriting it.

It was a very simple program but it made it easy to edit etc.

It was free and I think I may have seen it at WF.

I have got it somewhere but can't find it.
It really pisses me off when that happens but serves me right for not organising my shit better.

Interesting idea, I might test that out. Thanks

if you find what you're looking for please let me know.
What was the quality of the rewritten article? Was it something you can use to put on your site?

The software was just to help manually re-write an article/PLR, it didn't spin anything.
Probably not much use to most people, I just found that it was useful to have a PLR article in the top window for ideas and then I could manually re-write it in the bottom window.

I just found some tools for rewriting and I even found a site that is ranking for some writing/seo KWs with articles "created"using their rewriting tool. You can check it here http://perfectseotools.com/blog/2010/04/traffic-not-always-mean-money/ When you start reading the article you will notice starnge wording. If anyone wanna create content like this to try and rank you can get their tool here http://perfectseotools.com/free-article-rewriter/

It is called "article reviser" and you can get it here:

Virus total- 1/40, my antivirus has no issue with it.

If you search for it, you can get it from the owner by signing up to his list.

I use it all the time for rewriting PLR and stuff I steal from other people, er I mean, when I have researched a topic and write my article.
