Yes if your satalitte, you get all sky channels you would need to either subscribe to a cardshare service (plenty of website looking to sell such services) or setup your own and sell to your frineds.

However, if your cable provider such as (N*TL, V*irgin, EX*CW) in UK I have no problem in sending you my backup image which includes the decryption keys and after you have flashed my image to your box, you would just tell it to scan your provider and then rebot the box. Hey presto, all channel your provider broadcast you can now watch undectible and more importantly FREE.

Note: This can off course work if you have a cable feed comming into the house, even if your not paying anything to the provider anymore. As they rarely terminate the feed from the box outsdie the house. If you do decide to get one of these and using cable, then I would recommend you get your services turned down to the minimum TV package so at least your paying them somthing. If we all stopped paying them, the privders wouldnt be around anymore then we all out of TV

Why would you want his Image?

How to get UNLIMITED channel`s:

- Get a dreambox.
- Install the latest "Gemini" use "DreamUP" with a SERIAL cable to install the image.
- After you install Gemini you should search up channels (read Dreambox manual on how to do that).
- After installation use the "Blue Button" and from "Addons" download a cam named "CCcam" "version xxx" (xxx = use the latest version avaiable).
- Once that`s installed get a CCCam.cfg file from: http://cccam.tv/
- Once you get this file upload it to your dreambox with a FTP Program to
/var/etc/

- Once installed you should see all the channels CCCam.tv offers...

ok, sorry, I didnt release this thread had taken off as it has and just read people asking me for my image.

Im more than willing to help. but please understand Im from UK. My own image is setup to work with Virgin and automatically decodes the encryption...if you want a copy, just pm me your email adress requesting it.

So, simply put if your in UK, have virgin feed to your home, just flash my image into your Dreambox 500c and tell it to scan for channels and job is done...you will have ALL channels broadcast by Virgin.

To those asking how to flash the image here is instructions from :

If, for any reason, your box won't boot, you will have to use Dreamup to flash an image instead of flash Wizard Pro or any other method. You won't be able to connect via ethernet so no ip address is required. It may be that the process simply hung up during flashing or you accidentally pulled the plug half way through (yes it did happen to me). This will get you back on track.

Required:

Null Modem Cable (this is NOT the same as a serial or rs232 cable, although it looks the same)
Image File (.img)
DreamUp Program

Instructions:

Disconnect all cables from your dreambox, including the power
Connect the null modem cable to the dreambox and to your PC
Load Dreamup.exe
Connect the power and the bootloader should be copied to the box
The message should now say 'Box attached and Ready'
Click Flash on the right hand side and select the image to be flashed
Click Yes or Ya (depending on the version)
Note: If you're flashing a backup image, select NO.
The image should then be uploaded to the box
There will be a countdown timer at the bottom of the program
After the image is uploaded, it will be flashed to memory
Click OK and close down Dreamup
Power off the dreambox for 30 seconds then power up
If any errors appear, check all cables are connected properly and repeat the process but do not use the PC while it's running
That should be you Dreambox 500 re-flased. Now power off your Dreambox and then power it back on.

If you have SAT and not cable TV. Then you will need the Dreambox 500S unit.
Unfortunately Sky and most of the good sat channels use an encryption which is not cracked yet. Therefore you will need to use a setup which is called "Cardshare" This allows you to connect your Dreambox to the internet, where it will grab the encryption keys for all channels automatically and allow you to watch them. The best place which alsio allows you a test account to experiance it is http://freead2u.com/index.php?id=7 My bro uses them to get all channels...they also have a good help section.

Oh it does indeed work and I've been using a dreambox for nearly 3 years without problems

Yes there is for US, dreamboxs are used all over the wrodl but unfprtunately I dont know what your options are in the US, check some of the dreambox forums out for what possible in your area.
