Hey guy's ive been looking at reddit advertisment and was wondering if its a good idea im doing a video for youtube which i believe would be like a lot, and i wanna get it known quickly like on reddit facebook etc and i saw that on reddit you can get on the top of the page if you advertise and i was extremely excited. But the thing that got me is for only 40.00 dollars they give you 66,000 impressions..? isnt that a bit cheap for 66 thousand people? Or am i getting tricked i was really curious what does the "impression" stand for does it mean clicks?

From what I've seen on Reddit, the advertisements are mostly poorly received. It seems like it is the "Reddit-culture" standard to downvote these sponsored links. However, I often ignore the highlighted link at the top, so I'm really just basing my assessment on the select few that I've noticed and I may be way off.
It would be a cool experiment either way. I'd definitely like to hear how it turns out if you choose to do it!

True for most ads, although I have seen a few with high upvotes and lots of positive comments. The only one I can remember off the top of my head is the ad for thisiswhyimbroke.com, it had a witty 'reddit-style' title and the guy was answering questions that people asked as well.
So it can work, but you have to be smart about it

Yeah, it was marked 'NSFW' as in 'not safe for wallet'. Most likely one of the more well know ads on Reddit.
