If people see 0 comments, they won't comment, but if people see a conversation, they will put in their opinions too.

This notion cannot be overstated. Think about your own behavior, even here on BHW: are you more likely to be the first to reply to a thread, or are you going to chime in on a conversation that's already in motion? SEO benefits aside, seeding your posts with a few legitimate-looking comments can spark up comments from actual visitors, as Patel points out.

Another little spin on this is to ask a question in the comments about something you've discussed/answered in another post you've written. Reply to the question with your admin account and say something like, "Great question! I actually wrote a post about this, you can read it here." This can make readers stay on your site longer (as they may have the same question and will click through to your other post). It also reinforces the idea that you actually check comments and want to help readers.

As others have said, proxies and real email accounts aren't necessary.

Try breaking up that huge article into 10 sections, and add 40-50 words every day so you don't burn yourself out adding content every day, and you will still get "google credit" for having new content added to that page for 10 days straight

Does it only works on WordPress? My articles are only up to 350-400 words and i'm posting on different Blog sites, with its keyword and my clients site link to it. Well im not really doing the comments though, gonna try dis next time. Not really good on SEO stuff. lol. Thanks for the information!

One thing I do is target my own sites with scrapebox with spun comments to quickly fill out all the forms

It's sort of ironic!

Then I just go into the CMS and reply to the comments.

It will work with any page. When the page is constantly being updated with on-topic content and user interaction, your bound to rank well
