I think it looks good, and it's available. But the high authority domains linking 3/4 are .jp

Seems such an amateur question to ask, however I'm not to familiar with purchased expired domains, and I was just after some advice!

It would depend completely on the price. If it's $10 I say yes, if it's $50 meh. If it's already been dropped and available for registration then yeah sure.

Yeah it's dropped so normal reg fee. If I was to forward it to my own site, would It help it with domain authority? Cause my current sites Is like 5 haha.

The thing is, you have to have the same URLs that those sites are linking to.

Would a redirect of this domain not just pass on link juice then?

You need to put a 404 redirect plugin on it

But if is not in the same niche
it wont be as effectie

Remember that redirecting 404 pages now does not count as it used to

intresting never new you could even use the redirect wouldent it be more effective to buy pages with high trust flow isntead of pr and stuff?

I would check majestic seo to check the link history to make sure it hasn't been used and abused.
Then recreate the sites top pages (go on top pages in OSE and check the urls with the most links to them). You can use web.archive.org and copy and paste the urls old content.
Then slowly add content related to your niche, to make it a more relevant domain.
And add a contextual link on the homepage to your site.
Redirecting will last temporarily, but if you recreate the site, in theory it could last for years!

PS. How did you find this expired domain? :p

If its $10, then go for it - I would again say 404 or direct linking will not work untill you make a complete different website on that given domain name.

First you need to check whether it is penalized or not ( info:sitename.com) then you need to find home many times it has been dropped you can check it on
domaintools.com
if it has just one drop then go for it (worth $50) otherwise leave it.

Double check the Trust/Citation statistics in Majestic before you do anything, 15/15 is usually a good start for a free to register domain.

you have to redirect every old link to your new links (you have to recreate old links that the websites had before)

you have to redirect every old link to your new links (you have to recreate old links that the websites had before)

Why is that?
I know that if the redirect is internally, Google will not count the juice if the internal page redirect to the home page but does it apply to a different domain that redirect to the home page?

Yeah... Go for it, if its affordable cost.... But i hope its not good if the cost is above $40 or $45...
