Staff application now carried out via https://www.blackhatworld.com/form/staff-application.1/select

It's that time again - we're on the lookout for a few new moderators to join the BHW team as "Moderators in Training". ;)

A quick bit of info about the spots -

Mods in Training are volunteer positions. You'll generally be assigned at least 1 primary section to monitor as well as a few of the general sections, such as the Lounge, Suggestions and Feedback, etc. During training, your primary responsibility is managing the content of your assigned section(s). This includes pruning spam posts, properly categorizing threads and posts, and assisting members with edits where needed. You'll work with the senior staff on member issues and administrative duties until you're graduated to full moderator status.

Experienced Internet Marketers are encouraged to apply via thehttps://www.blackhatworld.com/form/staff-application.1/select If you have specific experience or knowledge that will help us match you to a potential spot, be sure to let us know about it when completing the application.

As of now we're especially interested in candidates with real-world knowledge of Email Marketing... not email spam, but legitimate Email Marketing. If you're a pro in this space be sure to let us know.

Once you've completed the application, there is no need to follow up, and doing so won't speed up the process of improve your chances. If we like what we see, we'll get in touch. If you'd like to verify your app was received or get to know some of the senior staff members (we like to get to know you beforehand), feel free to stop by irc.blackhatworld.com for a chat.

EDIT: Do not PM the Staff - use the staff application.

Thanks 7878 -

As you all know we are an English based forum. Strong written English is essential for this position.

We look forward to reading your applications and welcoming you to the moderators section.

If you applied in the past you may want to consider applying again targeting your application towards 7878's comments above. We like to look at how you have helped the forum in the past as well. So even if you are not successful this time I recommend using the "report post" button where applicable and next time we are looking you maybe chosen then. HOWEVER correct use of this button is essential.

I have applied some time ago to be a moderator but I haven't got any response back :S
Should I apply again or I was not accepted for a reason so there is no need to apply again ???

Hey HeRBaR

If you applied in the past you may want to consider applying again targeting your application towards Steve's comments above.

Good to see
is there any restrictions for mods in training activities(normal forum not mod activities) the reason I ask is because there are a lot of good members who have BST's but I've never seen a mod in training with a BST. It might be worth pointing if normal participation on the forum can continue while your a mod in training.

thanks

can i be the troll section mod ?

i applied some time ago and Nuff Said told me i should try again in a year or so... i'm gonna go with his advice

Awesome :) Would like to apply but I'm not really experienced in moderating . So I'll keep it in my pants for now :) Maybe next year.

$0. The perk of being a mod is worth a lot.
You get tons of respect and free stuff.

Thats the theory :)
although I have seen some members here take swipes at some of the Mods
and (thankfully) their lack of discipline and LACK OF respect for the Mods/admins
has not gone unnoticed, and they have been judged fairly as a result,
usually by infractions or worse.

I think that we ALL have a duty of responsibilty and maturity to our fellow members
and help make BHW the best SEO forum.

A little respect and manners goes a long long way in my book :)

Ah. Too bad I have no Idea about E-Mail Marketing. :)
Good luck to the pros!

WOW, Just Submitted the Application, Was Fun. :third:

But not for email marketing expertise, in general.
