Hey everyone,

3 month ago I started my niche gaming website. I admit I haven't put a ton of content on the website yet, but there is enough to get some exposure. I have began to do interviews, market to game companies and I have a Magazine in the works for the website itself. The issue is that I can't seem to get my website to generate revenue.

Right now for revenue I'm using Google Adsense.

My Specs are:

Sept Unique Visitors : 16383
Number of Hits this month: 20075
Pages: 20794
Hits: 418890
Alexa : 388436
Adsense revenue projected this month: 1.66

I'm trying to figure out more ways to create a bigger boom for the money I've already put into the site. Do any of you have suggestions or coaching to improve my related statistics to earn cash flow?

You may try cpa offers as a little extra option but I do find your ad clicks very low. Unfortunatly its hard to see why this is without viewing your website which I would not give out that information on here. Anyway you may check and see if the adsense ads really fit into your niche site properly.

find appropriate cpa offers,
Obviously adsense
see which posts get the most traffic
then think about what you need if that was your interest

You mean $1.66 for 16k visitors? terrible, what is your CTR may be you should improve it

It's definitely the niche.

The gaming niche (at least in my opinion) is a TERRIBLE earner.

Gamers tend to ignore ads and are tech savvy, meaning many of the things you would try to sell them they can just illegally download/copy/hack etc.

I used to have a gaming site that got 1,000 visitors a day that made only $2-3 a day. Never again! lol

Sorry if I repeat but is clear that the niche is the fault - the gaming niche is not so profitable nowadays. The visitors for this kind of sites are not "clicking" on the desired ads so even tho you do have a huge number of visitors - the revenue will be LOW or VERY LOW.
As an advice try to redirect your website - slowly to another niche - you can do it and maybe will bring you some nice results

My CTR is 0 right now. This is annoying but I'm trying to work around making adsense my main income. I'm taking gaming stories / integrated questions and compiling them into data. I am then selling them to the game company. I'm trying to make a gaming website that is a bit more multi faceted for my niche.

I'm just trying to figure out how to increase my traffic for free and increase my backlinks right now. I want to try and do this for free while in the baby stages of the website.

Suggestions?

any ideas on how I could monetize this a bit better?

Yes and no.

if you use adsense to monetize such niche you will get peanuts at most.

yet it is quite profitable to promote/affiliate games through cpa or just becoming official reseller.

gaming niche is terrible for adsense , you may want to try some gaming cpa offers !

Gaming niche with adsense i thinks its a terrible idea and CTR would be pretty low.
Go with some cpa offers or selling ad space on your website could be a better option.

I also had a gaming niche website, with about 2000 daily visitors. I didn't get above $2-3 a day. So I guess that this niche is not so paying using adsense.

see maybe it's because the site is so young. I don't get how you're making 500+ a month. I feel like I should hopefully get there also
