Is this still considered White Hat?

Hi guys,

I'm about to go ahead and begin a large authority site covering around 60, high competition, low search keywords.

I was planning on doing the entire process white hat, in order to ensure a higher chance of my hard work being able to withstand later Google updates.

What I was planning on doing was writing a very high quality blog post, then rewriting it manually, at distributing it to the many article distributors online such as ezine ASWELL as using many of the free press release services available. I was thinking of something along the lines of 10 rewrites and 5 press releases for each blog post, powered by hundreds of legit social signals from over 30 manually created and optimized social bookmarking accounts I made with OnlyWire.

Is this still considered white hat?

I am also planning on utilizing a lot of guest posting and professional videos, etc. in my niche, but I think I don't need to ask about whether or not that's white hat, haha.

Any help or suggestions on this will be GREATLY appreciated!

2- forget article directories - they suck
3- forget press releases - they suck (mostly)
4- so your plan sucks.

5- go for social signals, blog posts, create your own web2.0 network. update them from time to time.

Consideration of a service being white hat is irrelevant. Building any type of link unnaturally immediately makes it black hat, period. Think about how you can achieve results over time with links that will not harm your campaign, this is a much more solid approach.

Not true. Building links for the purpose of gaming the SERPs is backhat. Building links to promote your business is whitehat. Knowing how to walk the line is what separates people who think they know SEO from those of us who do.

Press releases are NOT dead. Posting articles as press releases to press release sites is dead.

You can create and maintain web2.0 sites and write guest posting on related blogs. Anyhow, don't forget the anchor text diversity.

Press releases are NOT dead. Posting articles as press releases to press release sites is dead.

I understood the OP wants to do it for the links...if that's the case then I'm not sure it's a good idea.

I've seen several folks defend press releases in other conversations here, I'm sure they have their value as legit press releases, though none of my PR's ever had any legit intent behind them

It Can considered whitehat or dont care much which mat , i can assure you that google will never love the way you want to build links. instead you can try writing great content find relevant blogger in your industry, try to offer him great content for link back.
