The best thing is that it helps you to build your own private network, especially in "disavow tool" era. And no one will tell that this is a bad link, it long term strategy but it worth it
 
Are there any 'get starting guides' trying to do a few things straight off:

Add blogs
Add articles (spun)?
Post to blogs.
