Google to Encrypt ALL Keyword Searches

Interesting but is saying nothing new - Google wants to keep all the information for themselves as a "private" company has to do. Strange how a private company can control 67% from the searching market and there is no restrain for them but :) soon things will change
 
It does "grind my gears" but I've learned to just deal with whatever environment Google hands me. We're all on a level playing field.

The one thing that doesn't make sense to me is that with my blackhat sites im not that interested in this data, however my whitehat sites like my blog where i'm genuinely looking to market myself to users and create a reputation online this data becomes very useful to me. It gives me an idea of how much search activity for the brand there is ad many other uses.
 
LOL they're trying to claim that this is for user security? This is to get rid of as many marketers are possible, so they can gain control over as much of online profits as they can, in any category.
 
It continues to amaze me to see how many webmasters still use Google Analytics.

Google keeps scaling back on the data they'll let us see but millions of webmasters just keep using GA and handing all of their data to the big G on a silver platter.

Are pretty graphs worth enough to help G while they stab webmasters in the back again?

I stopped using GA a few years ago and have not looked back.

What is the best alternative?
 
I use clicky for my BH sites but it doesn't provide a clear picture of my traffic. Also, conversion is extremely important and Google Analytics does provide very useful data for this area.
 
I remember someone already shared it on BHW few days back.

Btw, there is a standalone website regarding the Encryption of searched keywords in Google.
 
Use all the fancy third party tools you want, it won't help. Google is encrypting keyword searches and that means you won't be able to see refering terms no matter what tool you use.

It's not just GA that it affects. It will affect every traffic tracking tool. You will not be able to pull any search data now. So like for the past 2 years or so you have had the '(not provided)' data for the majority of keywords it will be 100% like that from now on.

Like some others have said though I didn't really use that data for my black hat sites. It may affect me in the future when I come to run a proper site and want real data but I suppose there's not much we can do now.
 
This was expected.


Not a problem for me and I have not used Giggle ANALatics for more than 2 years.
I got tired of sending Matt CUNTs data that was/could be used to affect my SERPS and other reasons.


My present solution:
Review Awstats and Logaholic each week/month for the keywords.
 
Strange more and more google are killing the whitehat guys
While the blackhatters just churn and burn
 
Yup, what's ironic is I've had white hat sites get hit with a manual spam penalty because of a PRWeb scraper site Google blamed me for. /FAIL

... Where my MASSIVE black hat network (over 100 domains) that lives off spam and breaks nearly 100% of Google's rules is still kicking ass and taking names un-restricted and not a single penalty, LMAO... and it's been alive and kicking for YEARS with top Google ranks. LOL

This change has far reaching consequences. For me it makes it tough to conduct proper due diligence when buying websites from other people. Now I cant see if the traffic is coming from related keywords or if its being spoofed to inflate the websites perceived popularity.

Not good at all.

Not sure if you guys are stupid or don't read threads: YOU WONT BE ABLE TO SEE SHIT AND IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU USE AWSTATS GA OR YOUR GRANDMAS PRIVATE TRACKER!!!
