some asshole keeps checking my ranking

I am sick of this asshole.
Since beginning of august, every day, someone googles some keywords and comes to my site. I dont know what keyword they search for because they are logged in.
but for example, today at 2:45 they searched for something and came to my site. Then at 2:46 they searched for something else (or maybe the same thing?) and came to my site. Then at 3:04 they searched and came to my site.

why do I care about this? I dont know, I am just paranoid and dont like people spying on me.

1. what should I do? If I block his ip address in htaccess, he can just change his ip and come back.
2. I am thinking this is someone who is desperately trying to rank and willing to pay. If offered the right price, I am willing to sell the site. how can I find out who he is?

You're assuming things that you're not 100% sure.
Spying (aka studying) the competence is part of the game. What are you going to do with all the competition? blog their IPs too?.

Just bear with it and focus on making money, and quit being "pacranoid".

Funny :) ...i did the exact same thing today for many websites and kw.. but i was searching for keywords not "something" can't you see wich KWs your visitors are using to land on your pages ??

no, if they are logged into their google account when they search, it just says "secure search"
Ps I am not using google analytics, I am using clicky.

I just implemented this and it seems to be working:

RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} ^123\.\123\.123\.123$
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/specialpage.php
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /specialpage.php [R,L]
 
You must not get that much traffic if you can easily pick up on a single user getting to your site from google. Just ignore it. If your site gets big enough you will have way more problems than what you are experiencing.
 
Its traffic just monitize EVERY single drop of traffic even if your competition, create a special thank you page like it was staded above and a exit pop ups to your list (aweber, if you dont manage list you really should start looking into that it really increases convertions)
 
You actually have a problem with someone visiting your site more than once?

Isn't that the whole reason for building it?
 
Just be glad they are coming from the same IP, if it were me I'd be coming from proxies all over the place to spy on ya :P
