Can anyone reverse engineer this $4,000 a month earner?

This guy has a blog I've been following:

He was travelling around the world, working his butt off on web design until he got an opportunity to do what he calls "selling advertising on travel blogs". Now he doesn't do jack, he hires a VA to do it for him.

Any ideas what this could be? I've tried to figure it out but I can't. I don't think it's as straightforward as buying banner ad space.

He must have figured out that working his butt off of ***MANY*** different niches isn't the greatest idea and settled to one "TRAVEL" and is mastering it.

It seems that he had found a way to bring advertisers to travel related blogs. Must have rounded up ad agencies looking for travel related publishers and he must be connecting the two.

This isn't hard but if he is dedicated, he could be making a lot of money.

My point is, find your interest/niche, put all your efforts to it, stick to it, and get it done. Money will come.

No that's not true. If you read his blog then someone contacted him out of the blue with this opportunity. He did zero testing. And he IS making a lot of money, he publishes his financials every month. He made like 5 grand one month but normally it is between 2 and 3.

I have started to read his post few moments ago and came to this part:

I'm trying and trying to explain that to some other people and almost no one gets it.

He seems to be turning that way. But I believe those figures are legit, so trying to work out what on earth he does to make that money.

If it can be outsourced, then it's a grunt method. But what grunt method earns $5,000 a month?

Come on guys, we must be able to use our heads together and figure this one out!
