All My Sape Sites Dropped

Until there are more threads complaining about SAPE site's being hit, I think google is going to keep focusing on them. Their strategy is probably to hit enough sites so that everyone gets so scared of them and stops using them altogether.

Since most people disregarded this hit, I'm guessing google is going to do another one.. and another until they get their desired result, which is panic and fear.

They don't need to take a network down, they just need to get enough people to believe that it's already down (Which they haven't achieved yet).

Just my opinion. Doesn't mean you can't rank and bank some sites in the meanwhile though :)

Bingo! Been trying to tell people this since the first wave of panic back when they hit back in February and it continued to work afterwards!

They can't take down something that continues to grow daily, the only way to totally fuck this as it stands right now would be to devalue footer links completely, but then SAPE would just move the links to a different position. Google is on the war path guys but trust me its going to be a long long war just the same way yandex learnt shit they been going after SAPE for years now!!

It seems that this is indeed a manual attack on sites using SAPE links. The links themselves probably weren't devalued or the pages where the links are didn't drop PR (wasn't even likely as there was no PR update), it's just the site that used SAPE links that got manual penalties.

Google probably scraped a few thousand pages where SAPE links were and sent out those penalties. I've got my site-wide "Unnatural links to your site" penalty about an hour ago. It seems Google hit first then dished out the penalties when everyone was already panicking.

If this all is true then simply replacing your current SAPE links with other ones should do the trick. Probably a good idea to use a wider specter of TLDs and try to find links that Google didn't find yet.

I will wait this one out a bit, tough, first and see how the site that got hit does.

Wrong! SAPE is full of english TLD's actually we have always used 90% English TLDs from the network, maybe this is why we faired better with the GWT messages than others did...

These threads are annoying as shit, I mean you guys are using bh links then its mayhem on the forums when google fights back, if you're using these links your mentality should be churn and burn - rank and bank, when the slap comes - rinse and repeat!

Tommy,

This thread wasn't created to whine or say SAPE was dying lol

I was just creating before 30 of them popped up to hopefully explain what happened.

Keep Calm and SAPE On!

I had two sape sites that didn't get dinged...one was actually using speed rank...and another was using my own sape links.

Both speed rank and my own method used no .ru links, and almost all sites were in English.

Tommy knows what he is doing guys! Shit still works, just don't depend on it for your money site lol!

Looks like 5-6 of my SAPE sites all got pushed to page 5-6 for any keyword they were targeted for.

Anyone else? Yes, we are experiencing the same thing, happened within the past 10 days, I believe it is the quality of the links used in the SAPE Network, identify and Dsavow and wait! Otherwise look for something else.

I did not go with sape but I built my own hacked network for a CB site. It has been penalized to death a few days ago , so something definitely is going on :(

You don't really need to disavow SAPE links, you just remove the link from you project. 99% of people use at least PR1 links with SAPE, so Google will notice the removal quickly.

The problem that accrued today were actually the manual actions against sites that are using SAPE links. As far as I know those can only be removed the same way they were added - manually by someone in Google's Webspam team. So while you'll be probably won't be harmed when using SAPE in the future (when all this settles down a bit and Google stops slapping everyone using SAPE), the sites that got hit are in a bit of a mess.

But let's just wait and see how all of this plays out.

No worries man, just the same threads every week is becoming mind numbing, I've seen lots of people today without sape saying they got slapped too, could be a standard algo refresh maybe? They did say last time they wouldn't be announcing or hinting about them anymore...

Standard algo refreshes don't dish out manual actions for unnatural inbound links, do they?

I'm sure they didn't crush the whole network but you can probably bet your ass that they have devalued .RU domains.
Devalue .RU domains and you wipe out SAPE.

Good luck with your adventure brother! Wishing you luck again :)

Not true, none of links from Sape were from .ru site and still all the sites which used Sape dropped in rankings.

Couple of sites with niche related private blog network posts are still ranking high.
