Looks like 5-6 of my SAPE sites all got pushed to page 5-6 for any keyword they were targeted for.

Anyone else?

every site of mine has been slapped.

i got the unnatural message a few weeks ago.

fuck i have so much work to get this shit sorted again considering how many of mine were slapped.

is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Did you got msg in GWMT..?

I only had one of them setup with GWMT. It got the manual action warning last week or so...the one where it says that it won't affect the sites just the links lol.

Guess they were lying.

Not neccessarily if those links were what caused you to rank and now Google made those links irrelevant then it would make sense that you drop unless you have a good link profile with more High PR links up there somewhere.

Look at it this way, if you could have ranked without the Sape links you would not have paid the $xxx or $xxxx you were paying every month, you would have saved the money.

So now that the Sape links are no longer "counted" then it is obvious that your site will drop until you get links that make up for the loss you just experienced.

I had sites that were naturally ranking page 1-2 before purchasing SAPE links to hit #1 spot. After the slap, they are not in top 200 anymore, so I would say the drop is not just the SAPE links not being counted.

I'm glad I didn't use it on any of my main money sites. And people who bought links should have known about the risks. I know I did, that's why I'm not that shocked by the drop. It was totally worth it.

Yep risks always involved with anything like this...

I run 2-3 versions of every niche just for this very reason

Google seems to have hit SAPE hard today.

I got a site deindexed 2 days ago, but there's other reasons for that, and now the only site that was bringing in any money took a big dive. #6 -> #41 for one primary keyword. I actually got a front seat view as it went #6->#64->#44->#41 as I refreshed my RankCheckerAce data.

What are you guys planning to do now? I'm not sure if I should go and change up my SAPE links a bit or find a way to replace them? What would I even replace them with?

Oh, this SEO business...

Yep I was the same lol. Front row seat to the entire thing as i was checking my rankings.

This business is tiring isn't it lol.

I will leave you with words that have comforted me in a crisis like this:

Churn and burn
Rank and bank
Rinse and repeat

I've only started with all of this a few months ago and already Google is messing with me. This business is a nerve wrecker, but still I'm not quitting.

I have site in progress now, that I'm not using SAPE for. I actually decided to not use it for new sites about a week ago when I did my income report and saw how much money went into it.

My first alternative is to use BHW services like sherlock and lady gaga (both in the marketplace), but eventually, when the income grows I would like to build my own blog network.

I'm still not sure what to do with the site that got hit today. I'm pretty sure Google didn't crush the entire SAPE network, but how to find the links that are still alive and how to find those that won't be devalued next week. That's the question now, ain't it :)

Nice words, hehe, they did do a bit of comforting, thanks :)

I'm sure they didn't crush the whole network but you can probably bet your ass that they have devalued .RU domains.
Devalue .RU domains and you wipe out SAPE.

Good luck with your adventure brother! Wishing you luck again :)

Don't think Google can afford to simply devalue all .ru links. There must be something more to it. Sadly, with only 1 site that got hit now. I won't be able to tell.

For now I'm going to leave it be for a week or so, then if it's not working, I'm going to remove all link to my domain that are not .com, .net, .org, etc. and see what happens.

And thanks for the wishes :) Good luck with your site(s) too :)

There are tons of methods that still work

Rule number one of any business is NEVER rely on one stream of income...

So never just live off one site.

Like I mentioned before I use different services and techniques on 2-3 different sites in every niche. One gets hit, and you still have 2 more!

I learned to start doing this the hard way.

301 redirect the penalised domain for a month then remove the 301. I've just done it in July to a domain that got hit in February (I just left it alone) and it looks like the penalty has gone. It's climbing back into the top 100 from (500+) on its own. I'm starting link building on it today. It's in a difficult niche.

Same here, SAPE sites penalized. The penalty is manual though, so I think the algo still can't detect the links by itself.

I had the same thing last week, some of my rankings dropped, and then some came back, they're kinda dancing right now.
I got the GWMT manual warning as well. We'll have to wait and see what happens. The service I was using for link building said they removed all the SAPE links, so I don't know if Google will care about that or not.

Wrong! SAPE is full of english TLD's actually we have always used 90% English TLDs from the network, maybe this is why we faired better with the GWT messages than others did...

These threads are annoying as shit, I mean you guys are using bh links then its mayhem on the forums when google fights back, if you're using these links your mentality should be churn and burn - rank and bank, when the slap comes - rinse and repeat!

Until there are more threads complaining about SAPE site's being hit, I think google is going to keep focusing on them. Their strategy is probably to hit enough sites so that everyone gets so scared of them and stops using them altogether.

Since most people disregarded this hit, I'm guessing google is going to do another one.. and another until they get their desired result, which is panic and fear.

They don't need to take a network down, they just need to get enough people to believe that it's already down (Which they haven't achieved yet).

Just my opinion. Doesn't mean you can't rank and bank some sites in the meanwhile though :)
