Scrapebox - Fraud Case lodged

Hi guys,

I purchased a copy of scrapebox last week, and paid for it, no problems.

I have since found an email from this morning saying a 2nd copy has tried to be purchased, but my bank (which is associated with Paypal) has refused the payment. I have NOT purchased a 2nd copy.

I have then received an email from scrapebox saying a fraud case has been lodged and that I have been added to blacklist listings.

What the hell is going on?

I've emailed support@scrapebox. Is ther anything else I should/could do?

You can see the reputation of that software on this forum and conclude for yourself if Sweetfunny would be after your 2nd $57 by means of fraud.

Thousands of people have bought that software over here, and it's still being sold because it's not a scam. PM the owner and wait for a reply, I am 100% sure it's not what you think.

You should wait for their reply, they are quite an established company so i doubt they would try and scam your money. This might just be a bug.

Sorry, to clarify, im not saying they are scamming me.

I believe it is more likely a problem with my bank & paypal set up. I just don't understand why this notification of a 2nd purchase has been made/e-mailed to me.

I have e-mailed support so will just wait to hear back from them.

One thing that MAY have caused it.

I will be using scrapebox across 2 machines, my laptop and office PC. I will only ever run 1 copy at once. Could this have effected it? I had to re-register using the details in my puchase confirmation email (which in turn changed my license key)

If you want to use it on two computers, you'll need 2 licenses. You can only transfer your license once per month, and since it's a one time purchase, if it makes you money, I would get the second one as well.

The owner of scrapebox is on the forum you can contact him here or if you are sure this is a fraud case then you must create a shit list thread but before you do that should know that insulting a re-putative member of the forum without any real proof can ban you from the forum.

Just a glitch on the payment stage, definitely not a scam. It'll all be sorted out, don't worry.

A lot of products have automated fraud detection systems in place and these systems are never perfect, so simply wait for their response; I have three SB copies myself and so far I've had to contact them only once, got a response almost immediately and had my issue addressed right away.

Spoke to him yesterday, he said to speak to my bank & I did.

Problem rectified (i think). Just waiting for a reply so i can re-send him the payment

They will get back to you and then sort everything out.

Scrapebox are a decent company and the software is good. Being a blackhat tool, probably used by some of the lowest of the low in this word, that the company is understandably quite tough when protecting itself.

Once they realise your completely above board and you only wanted one copy then everything will be fine

Good, these issues with fraud prevention happen all the time with card payments now. It's just a sign of the times i guess?

Once your card company knows you wanted to make the payment they will put it through, end of story.

Paypal has been f'ing up all sorts of things for me lately.
They help up payment for a scrapebox plugin last week.
I HATE paypal.

Just to update you all.

Problem solved now. The bank reversed my payment for some reason. I have spoke to scrapebox support, got it sorted and I am repurchasing it today.

They recently scammed me as well for $97.00 by cancelling the license after 25 days of purchase.

My only complain was after installing this stupid software on mac book pro the software was unable to do blog commenting. they wasted my 10 days of time complaining it is issue with the proxies that i purchased. Finally they started to complain that it was issue with my computer security. And in reality there was no such problem with my laptop or my proxies. It is their software which is a buggy software that does not do anything. when i complained saying it cannot do any blog commenting they cancelled my license saying it was a fraud case. PLEASE TRY TO STAY AWAY FOR THIS SOFTWARE TOOL SCRAPEBOX

I'm sure if you raised a support ticket they'd have just refunded you.
