For me its Youtube. Its so annoying sometimes im writing a post or article and next minute im streaming videos that iv already seen before. What's your biggest distraction?

PS. I quit Facebook a few years ago when i had my high school exams, and iv never been on it since. Thank god because at the time it was just as big of a distraction as Youtube is.

Facebook, very tempting to check personal news feed when managing fb pages.

I work as a social analyst so i am plugged into anything and everything. I have so many systems connected to my iphone and mac that the push notification almost kill me at times :) But thats become a normal life for me. I remember when my iphone needed to be fixed and something happened to my mac at the same time i felt naked!

Just as I was about to put a website together which I have been meaning to put together for the past week, I come across this great thread. Will have to do it later.

Your girlfriend. Especially if things don't go well and we all know how a woman can drive you crazy, so no concentration or passion for IM for some time = time wasted.

There are a lot of addons for your browser that limit your ability to procrastinate.

My favorite is called Idderall, there's also leechblock. Both are for firefox, there are others for chrome but I'm not aware.

Yeah right now I use leechblock, it lets me specify some sites, and a time limit that I can browse them. So for example I can limit being able to read blackhatworld for 20 minutes every 2 hours, which is what I do for all my distracting websites. It also has some pretty impressive options that will prevent you from being able to deactivate it. Once you get used to this, you start to be okay with only having a 20 minute distraction break every few hours. Jumping to a new tab and checking the usual time sinks every 10 minutes stops becoming a habit and it's easier tostay focused. Good luck.

Lounge threads - someone getting trolled to be specific - you just can't close those threads!

Since FB bloked me forever, i have less distractions but i think BHW replaced it lol

My biggest distraction is EVERYTHING. Every single thing that I hear or see catches my eye and begs for my attention (at least that is how it feels to me). Clearly, this to me is a HUGE hindrance that I have to overcome on a daily basis.
