Ok, I have a question for all those with the German tongue. Basically - does German spintax work the same as English spintax? I don't know the German grammar rules..so I don't know if it would work at all. For example...

If this were my English spintax:
{Hello|Hi|What's up}? {Please|Go|Check out} my {website|webpage|blog} {right now|immediately|right away}!

Now..If I hired a translator to translate all those words to German - would I have a German spintax that would make sense?

Really curious! Thanks.

Neglecting the fact that even your english spintax is not perfectly correct...;)
("Please my website" OR "Go my website")

Its just like the above user said...German is a bit more "complex" in grammar compared to english.

If you translate your spintax word by word into german...

Would it make sense? -> Yes, I guess every german would still understand it (for simple sentences)
Would it be perfect grammar? -> No.

Damn, that's what I was afraid of!

So, is it even possible at all to do spintax in German?

Of course, but you need to be very careful and selective.

For example:
If you want to say 'visit my website' in german it's 'besuche meine Website'. If you use the word blog on the otherhand it's 'besuche meinen blog'.

Therefore, you'll need a native german speaker to make it work. Because the english and german syntax are very different. For ex.: In english you say 'An old man is sitting on his veranda'. If you would use the english syntax to say this in german it would be: 'Ein alt Mann sitzt auf sein Veranda'. But in reality it's: "Ein alter Mann sitzt auf seiner Veranda".

Short version: Get a native speaker to help you & it should work.

german spintax is possible but it requires some experience if you want 80%+ unique texts that really make sense.

I had a German article spinner but I will have to check my portable hard-disk for that.

Hey guys - yep, realized I screwed up my english spintax! haha! But based on what you guys are saying - is that - it is possible! I'm just gonna go ahead and find a native german speaker and see what they can do. Thanks everyone. :)

Keep in mind that because german is a really difficult language with a lot of exceptions in the grammar rules (and a lot of grammar rules in general..), you should try to get some who is not only a native speaker but who does jobs like that on a regular basis.

Hi, as a native german speaker I started spinning german texts. It is really tricky and it needs a lot of experience. It is not just like exchanging single words.
I made my best experiences, when I put whole phrases in {|}. For me this is the only possibility to get spin texts, which makes sense, in the end. Unfortunately, spinning in german is much more complex as it is in english. This is giving me a hard time, too.
