I'm thinking of starting some sites to rank in the online casino niche in Australia.
I know this industry is very competitive.
Any suggestions where to start?
If there are any expert out there I would love to share my insights.
I know some affiliates making big bucks from it.

You will want to get an Aussie tld and hosting as well.

You need to be an Australian resident or business to register a domain. I host sites in new Zealand and local servers do make a difference.

The backlinks too gotta be from Austria to tell the search engine algo the location to rank your site otherwise it will suck and rank on Google.com or where ever your links come from..

Indeed, it is very competitive niche but as very one suggested start with OZ tld and OZ IP. then start building quality links from australian and NZ sites.

It does not have to be strictly aus, but yes QUALITY australian sites help, no matter where your hosting is. It is about quality, not quantity. There are some really powerful AUS sites where we do guest posts (don't PM me, I am not posting this to get clients)

This is pretty much correct. Don't focus too much on high PR australian links, as most high PR sites are still .com, but this is very good advice. Australia is dramatically easier than the US or UK to rank in, but casinos are always tough. Also make sure you check all relevant laws. In some countries promoting online casinos is illegal (like in the US). I have friends who did online casino SEO, but they targeted the UK.
