I made some posts wondering why I wasn't making much because on youtube it showed I hardly made anything on a video.

Since adsense changed it shows you earn nothing now until the end of the month. But today I found a video showing if you go to adsense.com, performance report, products, Hosted Adsense for content you can see your total earnings.

It seems like estimated earnings is broken right now for me on my adsense channel.

If you go there the estimated earnings are calculated by mid next month. If you want, look at your total earnings and multiply it by .84 and that's close to your actual earnings. 16% goes to YouTube.

Youtube's tracking is messed up at the moment, should be fixed soon. How many views did you have on a video, it could be possible that you didn't make anything on it..? Let us know some more info :)

Youtube actually take 45% of earnings, it's ridiculous.

What kind of YouTube channel are you running? Gameplays, Let's Plays..etc? You're monetinzing them and getting revenue?

My video gained like 90,000 views in the past few days and when I checked it on my dashboard it showed $0 estimated earnings for the video so I thought I didn't make anything on it but then found out when I went on adsense and looked at the total earnings it showed I made around $36 from that which kinda sucks. It says I got like 56,000 actual views. If I was partnered I probably would have made a lot more.

Last month it says my total earnings is $5.09 but only got paid $4.13 from youtube only.

Also, to answer your question what type of video, it was just a random video I uploaded.. I got it to the front page of r/videos but only at rank #20 and then it was posted to a British website which is where most of my views came from.
