DANG! Google just banned my private proxy!

I'm surprised. I was using Scrapebox with a private proxy. I was scraping some keywords and harvesting URLs with just one connection. After removing duplicates and doing a do-follow check, I was left with 16 URLs. Did a PR check which took about 2 seconds. After that I tried to scrape for another keyword, but got a 302 IP block.. Now the question is, what had caused this? I was being very gentle with the private proxy, always harvested no more than 100 results, connections always set to 1, but still the Google banhammer struck me. Any ideas from you guys?

I am not an expert on this but I have heard people recommending to rotate the proxies for that. If you use one for multiple check, you get banned. I might be wrong though.

In any case I think google will unban the proxy in some time.

Don't worry, give it a few hours and you will be able to use that proxy again.

I would suggest having more than one private proxy to help even the load up.

No matter what precautions you take, it is inevitable that private proxies get banned (although usually temporarily).

Just checked it, it was set to 5 connections for PR check. Did that burn the proxy? How long does the unban take?

It depends on a lot of different factors, but usually no more than an hour or so.

I load up at least 500 google passed proxies before even touching scrapebox!!

Today you need 10-20 or more private proxies (depends on what you are searching for) per connection for scraping. Its very easy to get IP banned. On my home PC - few complicated footprints with inurl operators and i see captcha

Yeah, its a private proxy from MyPrivateProxy.net, I have been using it for 2 days.

yes in this case the main reason that your proxy is not working is another ... I can not tell you more about it ...
also keep the searching delays higher and use as low as you can the threads, otherwise you will get your ips banned immediatly by google, also if you need more and more searches and faster you need more proxies ...

If you have followed all the instruction in the video and you still have problems then a possible cause can be on your proxy provider.

Sometimes proxy providers advertise that they sell private proxy but in reality they sell the same proxy to more than one person and depending on what others do that proxy can be banned much faster.

But as said in this thread if the IP's are clean a G ban will go away in 24-48h or quicker if you stop abuse them.

But you must keep in mind that this is a relative things, what I mean is that there are many factors to take in consideration. Another thing that you must know is that G ban come faster when you use operators like "site:" or things like that.

i think you should check loopline video for using private proxies...

I set the max connection to 1 if i am using 10 private proxies....or 2 max connections for good usage.

max 20% of total proxies you have purchased it seems to be working fine for me....no reason why it shouldnt for you.

You need to buy & use proxies in bulk rahter then your private proxy.

One proxy isn't enough for Google scraping. You might as well have used your direct IP and not pay for the proxy. One IP is one IP, and the proxy's IP isn't better than yours. Get more proxies (shared are fine). At least 10 of them, if you're ok harvesting like a couple thousand results per day. And it also depends on the search operators you're using, like someone above said. Using specialized operators like site: or inurl: will burn your proxies faster.

Word of advice - if you are using 1 connection - add 3 proxies to rotate. That way it's not one all the time and it saves them from a ban for longer.

Also, it usually takes 2-3 hours to get the ban lifted from an IP, so you've got some free time of SBing at the moment.

What would you recommend me? 5 private proxies or 10 shared proxies?
