Good post mate, I'm just wondering about the hosting fee's associated after your money is up. So lets say I did this. Just calculating hosting alone... $5.50 per month x 12 = $66 x 4 websites = $264 per year. You made $3,800 and in 14 years you will start to lose money off these websites unless you monetize them. Not to mention the domain registration fee per year. I'm thinking these Doctors are buying them because this seems like a life time purchase. So what happens when the money you made gets drained by these hosting and domain fee's?

If you would be so kind could you reply to my previous question. So far I'm just thinking your method is ripping people off unless you are charging a monthly fee.

1) buy an apple for $1
2) sell apple for $2
3) buy 2 apples for $1 each
4) go through 1-3 again and again
5) bankkkkk

First of all, 14 years is way too far off to speculate. Also, once the years continue going on I could just continue selling other listing spots for additional funds to continue funding the operation overall and to keep it going. Once you have hundreds of listings up and you have tons of paying clients it wouldn't be difficult to up sell them on additional products/services such as SEO or Web Design so there's always going to be a way to bring in funds. I hope this helps to answer your question(s). If not, please feel free to post an additional comment and I'd be more than happy to respond.

You're 100% correct. If you can buy something for $1 and find a way to sell it for $2, you'll be in business! :D

Alrighty, I read through the 4 pages of this thread, just looking for theme recommendations... The method whether rehashed or not seems viable with a couple of additions. I actually like the other thread (believe it is from TheDarkOne and was referenced in earlier pages), as it provides a more sustainable business model. I am not going to knock the OP, but I do agree that it may not be as easy as build site, email, and close. But, the one thing that makes it somewhat believable is the fact that it is a one time charge of 200$. Still hard to believe the close rate with minimal questions (traffic, rankings, etc.), but you never know what type of people the OP spoke with. They may not care as it is minimal investment for a profitable profession.

To give you an idea of the ease at which these companies will pay this fee. A church I used to attend had a membership of less than 100 people. For a special event (anniversary I think) they created ad books that they planned to hand out to the members. People were in charge of contacting local businesses to see if they would be interested in an ad spot (like 100$ for half page and 200$ for full). Many businesses jumped on these spots with minimal questions. It boggled my mind, as the congregation was small and not every member was a potential client. And to be honest, the printwork was not that great. Now this could be due to the 'church' aspect, but in business I suspect that doing something just because it is positive karma holds a lot less weight. Just a little perspective.

*** BUT, what I am interested in is some theme recommendations!! Not sure if you are pm'ing people your ideas or what... Thought they would added to the thread.. just some names would suffice. I like Dark's method as it provides an opportunity for residual income. So what it takes more work; this is not a 'scheme' but a business. It provides a valuable service to business, and I can bank more than a one off fee. I just want some idea of the layout for these types of sites...

Thanks for the post. Once I get back home this evening I'll post the themes that I used. In the meantime if you have any additional questions feel free to post a comment and I'd be more than happy to help.

Alright now... you said that before.. Don't make me come find you **wagging his finger** LOL just playin.. I am pretty good on the method at the moment. I still need to work on my SEO skills, layout of site, and beating local Google results. Like I was saying, the residual method is more appealing to me. Plus in my area, you will have a problem offering the spot (however you plan to do it) with the site out-ranking their own; and they will check!

Side Note: you may want to check out that thread as well, if you haven't already. You have the fundamentals of the method, just some additions and tweaking. It is a bit more work, but it seems that it would be more rewarding. It also opens the door to other services, IMO.

Lot of really cool ideas. I'd imagine if you live in a bigger city, dressing up and meeting them in person would benefit you a lot.

Anytime you meet with a prospect in person your chances of getting them to become a client increases immensely. Getting clients and paying customers is about establishing trust so this should always be your main goal.

As old as this method is I suspect it still works and pretty much always will.

The obvious question is how are you ranking this domain in such a short period of time?
out of 19 clients none of them asked what kind of traffic your review site was getting?

Dentists does not know what is "web traffic source" so that can still work.

Once I get back home this evening I'll post the themes that I used.

Can you please post this?
Perhaps it was in your deleted post. I'd appreciate it if you either post it here or send me (and other inquiring minds) the name of the theme(s) you used.

Thanks for all your effort so far!

Ok.. I am guessing I will have to go about this the way I have been doing so far.. >>Member Downloads>>Find Theme>>Install>>Look at it >> Repeat until I like....
