How long does it take to get the updated themes?

The beginning advertisment suggest the theme is up to date.

This seemed a no brainer till I saw we had to pay for updates. This would mean if there are many updates for a theme we could end up paying more by paying via you for the theme.

Do you not have any other solution for theme updates?

Good question. The reason we charge a little bit for the updates is that we currently have hundreds of outstanding clients, and it would be a logistics issue for us (for now) if we give out the updates at no cost. At least for the moment, this is the case.

What we can do for BHW customers is have a 2-week "update threshold". Once you've paid for a template, if the theme updates within 2 weeks, just send us a message and we'll give you the update at no cost. Same goes for paid updates. Once you've paid the small fee, if the theme updates again within 2 weeks, then again, we simply send you the newest version at no cost.

Anything else, I go over everything on a case by case basis. Just PM/email me and I'm pretty sure we can work something out.

Not at all! When you get a theme through us, what you'll receive is the latest version of the theme at the time of purchase. No outdated themes whatsoever! Don't forget you get the licence file as well which you can use for support from the author.

I also mailed you that the version you sent me is the old one and it has been updated since hence the theme not working properly but it has been 4 days chasing this and tbh if this is how it is always going to be get an update i may as well have bought the theme outright. I didnt expect such delays in getting a theme update

Hey shaks99 - The update on your purchased theme was made by the author on August 3rd, as displayed on themeforest itself. You purchased the theme from us on the 8th. I went in myself and verified the version of the theme in the zip file itself along with the actual envato account that we used to make the purchase, and they all indicate that you indeed have the latest version of the theme. Please download it again (through the original DL link supplied to you) and verify it again for yourself.

The main reason why you need to go through us is that we are the ones contacting the authors, building relationships, getting the discounts for you, and paying them. It's us that they know - so everything really has to go through us.

Ive had this before when installing a theme. It was because I was uploading/installing the wrong directory. Within premium themes there are usually several directories including resources, help files etc. Make sure your not just uploading the whole folder he gave you your uploading the actual theme directory.

Or indeed the file might be missing..
