My method to quick traffic

I have been using the stumble upon method for an adult site. Question: Does the google analyitics read the traffic flow as coming from Stumble Upon? Its strange I haven't even got on referral visit from there.

Has anyone had any success with this method as far as conversions etc? I tried it but my traffic rises by about 6-8 visitors per article and then dies off again, with nothing converting.

I tried it when the thread was originally posted. The only visitors I saw was the crawlers / bots and a couple of genuine visits per post / article. After that - nothing. Didn't bother following it up. Be interested to see if it has worked successfully with their sites / web2.0s.

Same with me, no conversions at all and 2-3 mins after the rise in traffic it died down again.

Nice share OP. Do you think it would help out more if you had followers to get an extra boost in traffic? The followers could re-stumble the link to their profile, maybe give you some extra traffic.

this seems like a good method but, what if my website its not in english? i thinks that will eliminate any chances of convertions? maybe a couple of adsense clicks when people dont know what they're doing?

Will posting your site to it affect your serp in a good or bad way? Because I assume posting to stumble upon will create backlinks.

Not sure tbh dude, I know some social media sites like Facebook and Twitter have influenced my site in the SERPs in a good way in the past, so I don't see why StumbleUpon would be any different.

Followers are never a bad thing dude. If you have lots of legit followers, you don't even need more than one account I think.

I've been testing this method since it was first posted in May. My findings are this: It does increase traffic and as the OP says, UVs are around 20% of the new visitors, the other 80% being bots etc.
I have not seen any conversion through this increase, so it's good for pulling in visitors but not a good earner.

Great share! Gonna do this right now and report back with my results!

Edit: JUST AMAZING! Started receiving traffic instantly. And they stay on the page for some time according to Google Analytics. Le's see if they keep coming for some time.
